I want to tell you about water scarcity in India.Water scarcity involves water stress, water shortage, deficits and water crisis. This may be due to nature and humus.Main factor that contribute to this issue include poor management of resource, lack of government attention and man-made waste.18 percent of world population which resides in India only has access to 4 percent of usable water source. In 2016 ,the city of latur experienced a great water shortage and Delhi also has huge crisis of water and by 2020 Delhi might run out of ground water.  Different conservative estimates that Delhi water need is 1100 million gallons daily, whereas the supply is only 900 million gallons daily. The acute water shortage prevailing in the forest areas of Tamilnadu district of Madurai and Dindigul

has led to the deaths of indian gaurs found in the forest region. Namami gange is an Integrated Conservation Mission, approved as ‘Flagship Programme’ by the Union Government in June 2014 with budget outlay of Rs.20,000 Crore to accomplish the twin objectives of effective abatement of pollution, conservation and rejuvenation of National River Ganga.

Access to safe drinking water in India

88 per cent of the population of 1.2 billion has access to drinking water from improved sources in 2008, as compared to 68 per cent in 1990. Only a quarter the total population in India has drinking water on their premise. Women, who have to collect the drinking water, are vulnerable to a number of unsafe practices.
