This year's House of Commons Debate is on the topic of Freedom of Expression. The questions for this activity are now available in the RESOURCES section of TIme Project site. The files both in Doc and PDF form contain the 10 questions that students should prepare PRIOR to the House of Commons Debates on Nov 30th. Schools choosing to do House of Commons Debates should also fill out a VIDEO CONFERENCING TECH SHEET and GMT chart and send both to Video Conferencing Coordinator Joe Sheik at j.sheik@tvdsb.on.ca
The first Resolution for Time Project's Model UN is on the topic of Climate CHANGE. The Resolution is now available in the RESOURCE section of the Time Project site. The file contains the Resolution that all delegates are to research and prepare to debate during the TPMUN Nov 30th 2012. Schools selecting this activity MUST contact Time Project Headquarters at timeproject@yahoo.ca to get the countries they will represent. You will note that for quick referencing during debate each line of the Resolution is numbered. Because of video and time constraints, the Chair will expect all to have read the Resolution in detail prior to the conference and as such will not open the conference by rereading this Resolution.
Participants blogging on this topic should be posting their introduction blog to all members of this topic area.
Results from our recent Unite the Nations event will be sent out to all participants and advertised on our website www.timeproject.org in the near future. We are tabulating all results. Some schools had techincal difficulties and as insurance (as one teacher said) sent their results via email. Those emailed results have to be calculated manually. it will take TIME. Results will be sent soon. Thank you once again for your participation in Unite the Nations Fall 2012 the energy and excitement generated by the event was wonderful to see.
From our friends at the National Dali High School in Taiwan and their teacher Meimei Mary Shih, they have created a 3 part series of training videos for Model UN people to enjoy. The exmaples are excellent models for both delegates and committee chairs. We hope you will use them as you prepare of the Model UN Video Conferences upcoming in TIME PROJECT 2013 - November 29th 2013.
