'Water water everywhere but not a drop to drink' - Water is the ultimate source of life on our planet earth. We believe that our earth is a blue planet but the colour blue is diminishing day by day. It is just the casual and careless attitude of the people that has brought us to this reality. Our school lies in the desert state Rajasthan , we too have shortage of water but we have taken certain measures that would actually help us to reuse the water in an effective manner. Its a residential school, we measure the amount of water used in a day and the food wasted in our school. Then, accordingly the corrective measures are taken. Following are the measures we take to reuse the water:-
- Use of RO water in gardening and c leaning of the houses in the hostels.
- We have in our school Sewage Treatment Plant- that cleans the unwanted sludge from the water and clean it. Clean water is then used in gardens. The treatment plant has four tanks where the water goes and gets treated differently. The last tank contains clean water but it is not a drinkable water.
- Our students have undergone a project on Water Harvesting .
